We are looking for a committed and passionate global vehicle retrofit engineering manager (m/f), with expertise in rail vehicles. In this challenging role, you will manage a motivated team of vehicle and lead engineers for ABB’s growing business of vehicle retrofit projects. Your team has the full responsibility for all sub-systems on the vehicle and for all engineering activities on vehicle level required for successful execution of retrofit projects. Aufgaben :

- Leading and coaching of the team in technical and non-technical aspects
- Coach the team members regarding technical questions, processes, tools and templates
- Ensure adequate staffing and introduction of new members to the team
- Secure continuous improvement of the team’s performance (deadlines, cost, quality)
- Develop and maintain the relevant products and processes
- Establish and maintain close collaboration to other engineering teams, product management, project management and supply chain management
- Support sales during concept and tender phase

Anforderungen:

- Master or PhD in electrical engineering
- At least 5 years' work experience in rail vehicle engineering area
- At least 3 years’ leadership experience
- Good knowledge of traction technology and familiarity with the electrical equipment of rail vehicles
- Project management experience advantageous
- Homologation experience advantageous
- Excellent command of English and German, both written and spoken
- Strong level of self-motivation and structured approach to work
- Team lead and team player with excellent communication skills
- Desire to work within an international team environment
